MARSTON -- Ruth Sturgeon, 52, of Marston, died Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in East Prairie, daughter of James and Irene Stockman Cave. MARSTON -- Ruth Sturgeon, 52, of Marston, died Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in East Prairie, daughter of James and Irene Stockman Cave.

Sturgeon moved to Marston seven years ago from East Prairie. She was a secretary at MFA Grainery in Caruthersville, member of Church of God in Portageville, and Order of Eastern Star in Charleston.

Survivors include a son, Todd Sturgeon of Dakboro, N.C.; two daughters, Leilia Johnson and Adreianna Sturgeon, both Charleston Route 3; her mother of East Prairie; a brother, Jimmy Cave of East Prairie; a sister, Mary Ketchum of Charleston, and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Gaylon BanAsdale will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
