PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth A. Rauh, 77, of Perryville died May 21, 2018 at her home. She was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Perry County, daughter of John and Elsie Ernst Chappius. She and Raymond Rauh were married Jan. 6, 1962. He survives of the home. Ruth had been a babysitter for nearly 50 years. She was a member St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren, the St. Louis Cardinals, reading and gardening...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth A. Rauh, 77, of Perryville died May 21, 2018 at her home.

She was born Aug. 12, 1940, in Perry County, daughter of John and Elsie Ernst Chappius. She and Raymond Rauh were married Jan. 6, 1962. He survives of the home.

Ruth had been a babysitter for nearly 50 years. She was a member St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren, the St. Louis Cardinals, reading and gardening.

Survivors include one son and three daughters, Candy (Bob) Herzog of Perryville, Jeanne (Rick) Mattingly of St. Mary, Missouri, and Diane (Danny) Marler and Randy (Charlene) Rauh of Perryville; two brothers and two sisters, Dave Chappius, Shirley Yeager and Jim (Mary) Chappius, all of Perryville, and Roxie (Ed) Drayton of Maryland Heights, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donnie Chappius; and one sister, Ruby Otte.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
