RUTH PENROD

CYPRESS, Ill. -- Ruth Penrod, 80, of Cypress, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 18, 1994, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.

She was born here July 23, 1914, the daughter of William and Mary Turner.

She married Carlis Penrod July 3, 1931. He survives.

She was a Baptist and a member of the Cypress Chapter #886 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Other survivors include one son, Jim Penrod, Metropolis, Ill.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, Ill.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond McHugh officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
