Ruth Cooper Parks, 100, formerly of Vanduser, Mo. died Monday, May 27, 2002, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Bloomfield, Mo.

She was born Oct. 24, 1901 at Comanche, Texas, daughter of Wesley and Joanna England Cooper. She was married to John N. Parks who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1994.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Vanduser.

Survivors include three daughters, Nadine Partain of Advance, Mo., Lorine Griffin of Bloomfield and Opal Bezold of Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.

Four brothers and two sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Virgil Bunch and Rev. Kevin Eskew will co-officiate, with burial in the Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
