Ruth Ann Parker, 77, of Gordonville went to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 6, 1939, in Fredericktown, Missouri, to Howard John and Cleda Maxine Mudge Duvall. She graduated from Perryville, Missouri, High School.
She and Jerry Lee Parker were married June 11, 1960, at Perryville.
Ruth previously worked at Procter & Gamble for 10 years.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching them win on her last night.
She loved to fish; was an avid reader; embroidered quilts for family members; cross-stitched; and played (and won) rummy games with her daughters.
Ruth will be missed greatly by her loving husband; daughters and son; grandchildren; siblings; family members; and friends.
The family takes great peace in knowing she is without pain as she walks the streets of Heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lee Parker of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Gina (Chris) Shelley of Weldon Spring, Missouri, Kim (Rick) Baldwin of Seventy-Six, Missouri, and Dawn (Jeff) Smith of Cape Girardeau; son Jerry (Marsha) Parker of Perryville; two brothers, John (Judy) Duvall of Perryville and James Duvall of Perryville; sister Delores (Kenny) Oster of St. Mary, Missouri; grandchildren Jennifer Bozich, Lauren Shelley, Jeremy Bey, Garrett Smith, Travis Boxdorfer, Tyler Boxdorfer, Jessica Berkbigler, Hunter Baldwin, Katie Baldwin, Shianne Parker and Katlynn Parker; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
