CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Ruth E. Ohmes, 80, of Charleston died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Charleston, daughter of William A. and Violet Golda DeField Wyatt. She and Andrew G. Ohmes were married in 1946. He died in 1984.
Ohmes was a 1943 graduate of Charleston High School. She had worked at McBride Stave Mill, Enterprise Courier and Mississippi County License Bureau, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Ohmes of Charleston, Marvin Ohmes, address unknown; a daughter, Beth Ohmes of Charleston; a sister, June Beal of Sikeston; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Prayers will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Church, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
