Ruth Moore

Ruth Emogene Moore, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 12, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Charles and Helen Norvell Lowes. She and Walter Glenn Moore were married June 1, 1946, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 19, 1978.

She was a 1941 graduate of the former College High School. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Langdon of Tamms, Ill., Kay Maney of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Mike Lowes of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Judy Moore of Fruitland; and a grandson, Drew Daniel Maney of Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
