Ruth F. Teeters Miller, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 11, 1917, in Grassy, Mo., daughter of William Lorance and Emma Elizabeth Patterson Francis. She and Robert Claude Teeters were married May 8, 1939. He died March 26, 1964. She then married Truman J. Miller in March 1990.
Miller was a member of Scopus Church of Christ. She was a retired schoolteacher and taught in many rural county schools and also at Woodland, Zalma and Jackson. She was a member of Certified Teachers Association and Missouri Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Teeters of Charleston, Mo., Bill Teeters of Marble Hill, Mo.; two brothers, Gene Francis of Marble Hill, Ralph Francis of Nelson, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Kenny Francis officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
