EAST PRAIRIE -- Ruth M. Copeland, 78, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, March 9, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 22, 1915, in Darden, Tenn., daughter of John R. and Sue Carrington Davis. She and Clyde Copeland were married May 20, 1960.
Copeland had been a nurse at the Masonic Home in St. Louis, moving here three years ago. She attended Freewill Baptist Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include her husband; a son, John Brown of Wappapello; four daughters, Jean Kieffer of Baldwin, Sharon Faith of California, Mo., Daphine Norgaard of Glendale, Ariz., Geraldine Thomas of Bureau, Ill.; three brothers, Alonzo Davis of East Prairie, Johnny Davis of Tiptonville, Tenn., James Davis of Parsons, Tenn.; two sisters, Beulah Lee of Marble Hill, Grace Eckert of Yuba, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home here after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Burl Britt and Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
