JONESBORO, Ill. -- Ruth P. Keller, 86, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Herrin Hospital in Herrin. She was born June 2, 1913, at Morley, daughter of Joshua and Eva Mae Brown Zimmerman. She and Oliver "Bud" Keller were married March 16, 1931, in Jonesboro. He died July 28, 1975...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Ruth P. Keller, 86, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Herrin Hospital in Herrin.

She was born June 2, 1913, at Morley, daughter of Joshua and Eva Mae Brown Zimmerman. She and Oliver "Bud" Keller were married March 16, 1931, in Jonesboro. He died July 28, 1975.

Keller had worked for the State Forest Nursery.

Survivors include a daughter, Delorese Doering of Johnston City; two sons, Oliver "Buddy" Keller of Forest Hill, La., Samford Keller of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, three sisters, and a brother.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure. The Rev. Charles Mitchell will officiate.

Hileman and Parr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
