RUTH I. BOND

CHAFFEE -- Ruth Irene Bond, 97, of Chaffee, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 18, 1897, at Morehouse, daughter of James William and Elizabeth Ann Moye Blaylock. She and Emmett E. Bond were married June 19, 1915. He died Feb. 9, 1960.

Bond was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW Auxiliary, United Transportation Union Ladies Auxiliary, Chaffee RSVP, and former member of Order of Eastern Star here. She had worked in the church nursery more than 60 years.

Survivors include a son, G.W. "Pete" Bond of Chaffee; a brother, W.F. Blaylock of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Collier and Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
