RUTH HENSON

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Ruth Henson, 74, of Tyler, Texas, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas.

She was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Nathanial C. and Mary Watkins.

Henson moved from Sikeston to Houston and then to Tyler 22 years ago. She retired as a dental assistant. She was a member of University Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Ingersoll of Seminole, Ala.; two daughters, Toby Ingersoll of Houston, Sherry Rodgers of Tyler; a brother, N.C. Watkins of Farmington, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at the family cemetery, Nathanial Watkins State Park near Morley, Mo. The Rev. Sandra Shaller will officiate.
