EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Ruth Marie Greer, 93, of East Prairie died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at East Prairie Nursing Center. She was born Jan. 11, 1911, in New Madrid County, daughter of George and Flora Ann Duffy Schneider. She and William Earl Greer were married June 29, 1935, at Sikeston. He died Jan. 16, 1949...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Ruth Marie Greer, 93, of East Prairie died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 11, 1911, in New Madrid County, daughter of George and Flora Ann Duffy Schneider. She and William Earl Greer were married June 29, 1935, at Sikeston. He died Jan. 16, 1949.

Greer retired as a cafeteria worker at A.J. Martin School, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bob and Joe Greer of East Prairie; two sisters, Cora McMinn of Charleston, Mo., Fern Cobb of Sikeston, Mo.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 6 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery at Charleston.
