ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ruth J. Garner, 94, of Advance passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1920, at Bloomfield, Missouri, daughter of Earnest and Ella Donley Elmore. Ruth and Charlie Garner were married April 28, 1942, at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death March 9, 2006...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Ruth J. Garner, 94, of Advance passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 18, 1920, at Bloomfield, Missouri, daughter of Earnest and Ella Donley Elmore. Ruth and Charlie Garner were married April 28, 1942, at Bloomfield. He preceded her in death March 9, 2006.

Ruth attended Advance General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Garner and Wayne Garner of Advance; a daughter, Maxine DeBrock of Advance; a brother, Vernon Donley of Arnold, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brad Moore officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
