RUTH FINNEY

Ruth Finney, 69, 1 Springview Place, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1923, at Crump, daughter of Joseph and Emina Issac Stovall. She and John Finney were married Sept. 9, 1938. The Finneys had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1975. Ruth Finney, 69, 1 Springview Place, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 11, 1923, at Crump, daughter of Joseph and Emina Issac Stovall. She and John Finney were married Sept. 9, 1938.

The Finneys had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1975. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church, former steward, and taught Sunday School many years.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Finney of Waltonville, Ill.; two daughters, Pauline Davis of Cape Girardeau, Cindy Phelps of Dix, Ill.; a brother, Robert Stovall of Crump; two sisters, Mary Phelps of Cape Girardeau, Irene Miller of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Revs. Robert Owens, Spencer Johnson, Farris Nabors, Eddie Stovall and Fred Johnson will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
