SIKESTON -- Ruth Edwards, 83, of Sikeston, died Friday, Dec. 20, 1991, at the Miner Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 7, 1908 in East Prairie, to Arch and Rhoda Gore Fleming.
She lived in Scott County for the past 13 years. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church near Charleston.
On Dec. 27, 1930, she married Allen B. Edwards, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, one brother and one sister.
Surviving are two brothers, Art Fleming and Jake Fleming, both of Creve Coeur; and one sister, Opal Greer of Sikeston.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. J.L. Laughlin, pastor of the First Christian Church of Charleston, officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
