Ruth Duley

The funeral for Ruth Mable Duley of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Brothers will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Duley, 86, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at her home.

She was born Feb. 4, 1916, at Risco, Mo., daughter of Joseph Alexander and Clara Ethel McBride Archer. She and Leonard Duley were married Jan. 23, 1935, at Gideon, Mo. He died Sept. 8, 1995.

Duley was a member of Cape First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Duley of Gordonville; three daughters, Earlene Brown and Syble Dunlap of Cape Girardeau, Shirley Ratcliff of Lilburn, Ga.; a brother, Earl Archer of Jackson; two sisters, Iris Blanchard of Cape Girardeau, Agnes Coleman of Portageville, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
