EAST PRAIRIE -- Ruth Cave Sturgeon, 52, of Marston and formerly of East Prairie died Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti after an apparent heart attack.
She was born Feb. 1, 1940, at East Prairie, the daughter of Irene Stockman Cave of East Prairie and the late James Cave.
She moved from East Prairie to Marston seven years ago. She was a member of the Church of God in Portageville and the Charleston chapter of the Easter Star. She was a secretary for the M.F.A. Grainery in Caruthersville.
Survivors include a son, Todd Sturgeon of Oakboro, N.C.; two daughters, Leilia Johnson and Adreianna Sturgeon, both of rural Charleston; a brother, Jimmy Cave of East Prairie; a sister, Mary Ketchum of Charleston; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Chapel, with the Rev. Gaylon BanAsdale officiating. Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
