Ruth Beal

Ruth Beal, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born March 2, 1925, in Cape Girardeau County to Henry A. and Elizabeth I. Clark Moore. Ruth and Melvin C. Beal were married Feb. 12, 1941, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death.

Ruth was a member of Cape Bible Chapel. She retired from the housekeeping department at Southeast Hospital after many years of service and also worked at the Lutheran Home in housekeeping.

Survivors include three children, Gary (Francis) Beal of Marble Hill, Missouri, Judy (Chuck) Jackson of Cape Girardeau and Robert Beal of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Beal of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers; five sisters; a son, Melvin W. Beal; and an infant son, Larry Charles Beal.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the charity of choice.
