CHARLESTON -- Ruth Bartlett Baugh, 97, of Charleston died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Charleston Manor.
She was born Nov. 18, 1901, in Mississippi County, daughter of Renfro and Mary Cook Frans. She and Frank Baugh were married Jan. 8, 1921. He died in 1967.
Baugh lived in Mississippi County all her life, and was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Baugh of Memphis, Tenn., Lawrence Baugh of Wyatt, Charles Baugh of Charleston, William "Bill" Baugh of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Lucy Noisworthy of Charleston, Hallie Sickling of Granite City; 48 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jon Archie will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
