RUTH B. ADAMS

PERRYVILLE -- Ruth B. Adams, 68, of Perryville, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1991, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born April 21, 1923, at Kaskaskia Island, Ill., daughter of James S. and Isabel Johnson Brown. She married Andrew Adams in 1940, who died Nov. 14, 1979. She later married Gilbert Adams in 1981.

Adams was an inker at International Shoe Co.

Survivors include her husband; a brother, Norman "Bud" Brown of St. Marys; three sisters, Courtney "Mannie" Brown of St. Marys, Maggie Adams of Lithium, and Ruby Eddleman of Perryville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kirby and James, and two sisters, Sylvia and Esther.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald McBride will officiate, with burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery at Lithium.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.
