Ruth Naomi Magdalene Adams Ladd, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 5, 2020, at her home.

She was born Nov, 22, 1931, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Willard and Cora Bess Adams. She and Elvin Earl Ladd Sr. were married June 15, 1950, at Boonville, Mississippi.

She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughters, Glinda (Mike-deceased) Seabaugh, Vanessa Lowell and Junell (Richard-deceased) Parrett, all of Cape Girardeau; son, Elvin Earl (Donna) Ladd Jr. of Jackson; sisters, Wanda Findlow of Granite City, Illinois, and Waneta Cooper of Cape Girardeau; brother, David Adams; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughters, Stephanie (Dennis) Thompson and Elvine "Misty" (Don) Flannigan; six sisters; a brother; and grandson, John William Lowell Jr.

There will be a private family visitation. A funeral procession will leave Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home for Lightner Cemetery in Scott City at 1 p.m. Wednesday for a private graveside service, where her grandson Daniel Seabaugh will say a brief prayer. There will be a public memorial service at a later date.
