SIKESTON -- Ruth Ann Summers, 86, of Eaton Park, Fla., formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, July 21, 1992, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Fla.
She was born June 11, 1906, in Ava, Ill., daughter of Lewis and Sara Melissa Vanover McBride. She married Albert Franklin "Abe" Summers in May 1921, at New Madrid. He preceded her in death.
Summers was a nurses aide, and had worked in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Blanton at Sikeston.
She moved to Florida four years ago from Sikeston. She was a member of a Baptist church.
Survivors include a son, Gary Summers of Lakeland; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons, two daughters, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Graveside service will be at noon Thursday in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
