MARBLE HILL -- Russell V. Greer, 72, of Marble Hill, died Monday, July 5, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 10, 1921, at Glen Allen, son of Nezbert and Jenny Kitchen Greer. He and Marie Hansen were married Aug. 6, 1943.
Greer was a retired operator with Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. He was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church, Trowel Masonic Lodge 440, VFW Post 5900, and American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bruce and Van Greer of Marble Hill; two sisters, Lora Ross of Cape Girardeau, Fern Fletcher of Marble Hill, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. W.D. Snyder and Michael Woods will officiate, with burial in Old Union Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
