Russell Lonzo Gibson, 78, 1419 N. Water, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, son of Alonzo and Nettie Phillips Gibson. He and Ethel Pauline Barr were married Dec. 24, 1938, in Cape Girardeau.
Gibson worked at Superior Electric more than 40 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of New Life World Outreach Center, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger Gibson of Kelso; a daughter, Jacquelene Gibson of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Macke of Cape Girardeau, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Cathcart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by VFW Post 3838.
