Russell Henson

Russell E. Henson, 69, a native of Olive Branch, Ill., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at his home.

He was born Dec. 17, 1934, the son of Gabriel and Opal Henson of Olive Branch. He married Alice L. Sauerbrun on May 12, 1956. She survives. After retirement in 1998, they moved to McGill, Nev., to be close to their daughter and grandchildren.

He spent most of his adult life in Cairo, Ill., working for Magna-Tel Sign in Cape Girardeau for 43 years.

He also is survived by a daughter, Melony Roberts of McGill; two brothers, Norman Henson of Sarasota, Fla., and Robert Henson of Cypress, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Ely, Nev.
