RUSSELL E. REVELLE

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Russell E. Revelle, 83, of Riverside, Calif., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995, at Arlington Meadows Convalescent Home in Riverside.

He was born March 25, 1912, at Hickory Ridge, son of Melvin and Chlora Revelle.

He attended Delta schools.

He married Jorletta Bess in 1936. She preceded him in death in 1987.

Revelle worked for Bemis Bag Co. 35 years, starting as a truck driver and retiring as vice president of the Los Angeles plant.

He is survived by a son, Mike Revelle of Riverside; a daughter, Sharon Heim of Lakewood, Calif.; two brothers, James Revelle of Sedgewickville and Carroll Revelle of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Katy Proctor of Cape Girardeau, Leona Trimble of Hope, Idaho, Imogene Hartzell of Smith Creek, Mich., and Audrey Kitchen of Fruitland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Service will be held Tuesday at Westminster, Calif. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Park.
