Russell D. Brown, 78, of Millersville died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at his home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1926, in St. Louis, son of Coda and June Lane Brown. He and Eula Camren were married Sept. 7, 1947.
Brown had farmed near Millersville since 1948. He worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau, and retired from Lenco Manufacturing in Jackson in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church at Millersville.
He served in the U.S. Army from March 5, 1945, to Nov. 30, 1946.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Criddle of Millersville, Vickie McCann of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a son, Andy Brown of Millersville; five sisters, Imogene Hale and Patricia Harris of Jackson, Shirley Dunivan of Puxico, Mo., Mary Marlow of Coulterville, Ill., Peggy Arnett of Sparta, Ill.; three brothers, Cody Brown of Chaffee, Mo., Michael Brown of Evansville, Ind., Darrell Brown of Sikeston, Mo.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
