ORAN -- Russell "Rusty" Anderson, 70, of Oran died Monday, June 23, 1997, at his home. He was born Oct. 14, 1926, at Thomasville, son of Walter LeRoy and Mary Jane Peace Anderson. He and Lois Stanfield were married Nov. 20, 1946. Anderson had been a maintenance man for the city of Oran. He was a member of Hooe Baptist Church...

ORAN -- Russell "Rusty" Anderson, 70, of Oran died Monday, June 23, 1997, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1926, at Thomasville, son of Walter LeRoy and Mary Jane Peace Anderson. He and Lois Stanfield were married Nov. 20, 1946.

Anderson had been a maintenance man for the city of Oran. He was a member of Hooe Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom Anderson of Scott City, Mark Anderson of Oran; a daughter, Charlotte Eftink of Bloomsdale; a sister, Doris Pearson of Sikeston; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at the chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.
