Russel Bolin, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 25, 1940, in Dudley, Missouri, to Marion and Leona Curd Bolin. Russel and Eula B. Cook were married April 8, 1988, in Jackson. They shared the same birthday.
Russel was a loving husband, father, stepfather, brother and neighbor.
He served in the U.S. Navy 20 years, as well as 20 years in civil service.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lisa Reed; a son, Roger Bolin; two stepsons, John and Mark Cook; a sister, Shirley Gaskins; a brother, Charles Bolin; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Martha Stone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Robert, Billy J., Jimmy and Glen Bolin; and two stepdaughters, Deborah and Dana Cook.
A memorial service was July 31 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Military honors were provided by the Navy team from Memphis, Tennessee.
