Ruhe Rudd Pringle, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1923, at Belpre, Kan., daughter of Herbert and Mayrella Windhorst Rudd. She and Douglas Pringle were married Dec. 7, 1943, at Tribune, Kan.
She had taught school for more than 29 years, including five years at Garden City, Kan. She attended Bryan University in Dayton, Tenn., and graduated from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kan., in 1945 with a bachelor's degree in education.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Tribune.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Scot Pringle of Cape Girardeau and Bryce Pringle of Shenandoah, Iowa; a daughter, Janet Reeder of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Shirley Dixon of Tribune and Patricia Carr of Kerrville, Texas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. William L. Burke officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chateau Girardeau Foundation or the Robert E. Pringle Memorial Scholarship at the University of Kansas.
