MOUNDS, Ill. -- Funeral for Rufus McClung of Mounds will be held at noon Saturday at St. John Praise and Worship Center in Pulaski, Ill. The Revs. Ronnie Mack and Larry Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery at Ullin, Ill.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
Massie Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
McClung, 80, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born in Bigbee Valley, Miss., son of Clotus and Salley Williams McClung.
McClung was a machine operator at Burkart Foam Inc. in Cairo, Ill., 15 years, and was a landscaper several years.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice; six sons, Charles Buchanan of St. Louis, Michael Kellum of Charleston, Mo., Gary Mackins of Colorado Springs, Colo., Adrian Mackins of Jamaica, N.Y., Rufus McClung Jr. of Dixmoor, Ill., DeJuan McClung of the home; three daughters, Lorie McClung, Lesheba Morris and Chikitta McClung, all of Mounds; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
