SIKESTON -- Rufus Jackson Ledbetter, 87, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1904, in Wheeler, Miss., son of David and Fannie Horton Ledbetter. He and the former Annie Forrest were married Dec. 1, 1934, at Benton.
Ledbetter was a farmer and lumberyard worker. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald, Dennis and Paul Ledbetter of Sikeston; a daughter, Norma Jones of Blytheville, Ark.; a brother, Clyde Ledbetter of Bethpage, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, four brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dolan Rogers will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
