Rudy A. Sebastian, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1922, at Tilsit, Mo. He and Evelyn Woolsey were married Nov. 28, 1946. She died April 14, 1997.
Sebastian retired as an ironworker with Local 396 in St. Louis. He attended First United Pentecostal Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was awarded the Victory Medal with three Silver Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include four sons, David Sebastian of Kansas City, Mo., Steven Sebastian of Cape Girardeau, Rex Sebastian of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Brian Sebastian of Hallsville, Mo.; three daughters, Charlotte Renner of Columbia, Mo., Patricia Dreyer of Poplar Bluff, Phyllis Hurtado of Olympia, Wash.; a sister, Rosina Poe of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Hubert Sebastian of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff from 7-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Schremp officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
