Rudolph E. Reimann, 85, 1802 Sherwood, died Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1909, in Egypt Mills, son of Charles H. and Dorathea Gerlach Reimann. He and Lela Vogel were married May 17, 1936, in Cape Girardeau.
Reimann attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was a teacher in Cape County, worked as an accountant at the former Robinson Lumber Co., and later was comptroller for Southeast Lumber Co.
He established the R.E. Reimann Accounting Firm, retiring in 1989. He was founder and first president of Missouri Independent Public Accounting Society in 1964, and member of National Society of Public Accountants.
Reimann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and former member of its Men's Club, choir, and Cape Choraliers.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Reimann of San Francisco, Calif., Phil Reimann of Boston, Mass., John Reimann of Piedmont, Calif.; three brothers, Ernest Reimann of Egypt Mills, Walter Reimann of McClure, Ill., Ivan Reimann of Gale, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Robert Bettlach of St. Louis; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and three sisters.
There is no visitation.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
