RUDOLPH BUERCK SR.

PERRYVILLE -- Rudolph J. Buerck Sr., 91, of Perryville died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born June 4, 1907, at Biehle, son of Florian and Helen Wingerter Buerck. He married Bertha Baer Oct. 23, 1930.

Buerck was a retired maintenance man and groundskeeper at St. Marys of the Barrens. He attended Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer.

Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Glennon, Rudy and Roger Buerck, all of Perryville, Eugene and Jerome Buerck, both of Festus, Robert and Tom Buerck, both of Uniontown; three daughters, Bernetta Buchheit of Washington, Ind., Berdella Schnurbusch of St. Louis, Stella Prevallet of Perryville; 37 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from 6:30 to 9:20 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A parish wake will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Revs. Felipe Martinez, Alphonse Hoernig and Mark Bozada officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery at Biehle.
