Ruby A. Welker, 81, of Pompano Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Fla.

She was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Ray and Mella McCormick Caraker. She married Leonard C. Welker, who preceded her in death.

Welker had worked in the drapery business.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Kubacki of Pompano Beach, Karla deLa Rive of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. today at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. June 3 at Calvary Chapel in Pampano Beach.

American Memorial Centers in Pompano Beach is in charge of arrangements.
