Ruby Rogers Reid, 82, of Scott City died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at her home.
She was born Aug. 19, 1922, at Perkins, Mo., daughter of Bill and Odie Ryan Smith. She first married John A. Rogers Sr. July 17, 1938. He died Jan. 5, 1986. She and Dick Reid were married June 20, 1990. He died Aug. 8, 2002.
Reid had been a seamstress at Ely Walker Co. in Scott City. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau and Okeechobee Auxiliary Police.
Survivors include three sons, John Rogers Jr., Charles and Dale Rogers, all of Scott City; a daughter, Carolyn O'Howell of Scott City; a sister, Mary Michalek of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Webster Eaker and Bob McNabb officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
