Ruby Erna Popp, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 23, 1932, at Frohna, Mo., daughter of Anton and Esther Mueller Petzoldt. She and Eugene Popp were married Feb. 6, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 6, 2004.
Popp was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and its Altar Guild and Ladies Aid. She had been a medical secretary for Dr. Honaas.
Survivors include a son, Matthew Popp of Fruitland; a daughter, Julie Marlin of Jackson; a brother, Gilbert Petzoldt of California; nine sisters, Lillian Vogel of California, Doris Gates of Washington, Norma McLain of Georgia, Millie Krueger of Chicago, Nelda Boren of Cape Girardeau, Mickie Lorenz, Darlene Bachman and Vera Vogel, all of Frohna, Arlene James of Fruitland; and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
