RUBY MORTON

JACKSON -- Ruby M. Morton, 95, of Jackson died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 30, 1904, at Oak Ridge, daughter of William and Ivy Goodson Drum. She married Darwin Morton Nov. 21, 1920. He died Aug. 6, 1983.

Morton and her husband moved to Jackson in 1965. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson and a member of the United Methodist Women's Organization.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Morton of Florida; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and a half sister, Rosemary Asher of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call between 5-8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
