OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Ruby Miller, 96, of Olive Branch died on Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Ruby was born March 2, 1922, in Miller City, Illinois, the daughter of Chris and Rovilla Bruce Farris. She and Gerald Miller married Sept. 3, 1939. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1994.
She loved quilting, canning and working in the garden. Her and Gerald's favorite thing to do together was fishing. She was a member of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church and a Proverbs 31 woman.
Ruby is survived by her son, Jerry (Dixie) Miller; grandchildren, Scott (Lou), Shawn (Amy), Roger Lee and Tonia (James); great-grandchildren, Michelle (Andrew), Hunter, Sydne (Elias), Beatrys (Jesse), Graydon and Brady; great-great-grandchildren, Adallyn and Paeton; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Virginia (Roger) Rudluff and Judy Gibbar; and three brothers, Paul Farris, C.E. "Gene" Farris and Marion Farris.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
Funeral will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dean West officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
