RUBY LENAND

Ruby A. Lenand, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at her home.

She was born March 5, 1918, in Millersville, Mo., daughter of William Francis and Minnie Mae Turner Niswonger. She and James Lenand were married June 27, 1939, in Dutchtown, Mo. He died Aug. 11, 1980.

Lenand had retired after 22 years with Lenco Inc. in Jackson, Mo. She was a member of the Chaffee VFW Auxiliary and St. Mary Cathedral.

Survivors include a son, Bill Lenand of Rockview, Mo.; two daughters, Ruth Ann Meyer of Cape Girardeau and Clara "Nute" Enderle of Scott City, Mo.; a sister, Ruth Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral, with the Rev. Roger Leveillee officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Mo.
