RUBY LACY

ANNA, Ill. -- Ruby A. Lacy, 86, of Anna died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Union County, daughter of John T. and Nova Cox Brown. She and George R. Lacy were married Sept. 22, 1928, in Paris, Ill. He died Dec. 8, 1945.

Lacy was retired from Choate Mental Health Center, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Williams of Anna, Patricia Shuler of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Josie Spurlock of Yerington, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Richard Sullins and Todd Williams officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
