OAK RIDGE -- Funeral service for Ruby Lorene Probst of Oak Ridge will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Howard Huddle will officiate, with burial in Goshen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
Probst, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born March 17, 1907, in Oak Ridge, daughter of Frederick "Fritz" and Bertha Schreiner Grebe. She and Earl Probst were married in 1928. He died in 1964.
Probst taught 15 years at schools in Cape Girardeau and Bollinger Counties. She lived in Austin, Texas, 27 years, and worked in a family-owned department store. She had lived in Oak Ridge 16 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
