Ruby Ellen Jacobs, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

She was born Jan. 10, 1901, near Portageville, daughter of Albert and Amelia Till Ayers. She and Brian Jacobs were married in 1919. He preceded her in death.

Jacobs was a member of Maple United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kester of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and five sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
