RUBY EIMER

BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Ruby D. Eimer of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Dewayne Coleman will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.

Eimer, 87, died Friday, May 30, 1997, at her home.

She was born July 11, 1909, at Commerce, daughter of Cody and Ida Rochelle Walker. She and Dr. Charles Eimer were married June 7, 1947. He preceded her in death.

Eimer received a degree in nursing from Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in May 1932. She served in the U.S. Army with the 21st General Hospital in the African, Italian and French Campaigns. She attained the rank of captain and received a Bronze Star.

Survivors include friends, Carl, Sandra, Jason and Justin Lynch, with whom she made her home.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
