Ruby Mildred Eichhorn, daughter of the late Edmund and Emelia Myer Haertling, was born July 16, 1929, in Jackson and departed this life Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91 years.
Ruby worked at Thorngate LTD in Chaffee, Missouri, for 39 years and retired in 1991. She was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ladies Aid in Chaffee and also of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 3127. She volunteered at the Chaffee Nutrition Center.
On Dec. 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to Cyril Eichhorn. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1991.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Butch (Connie) Eichhorn of Cape Girardeau and Robert (Nelda) Eichhorn of Chaffee; four grandchildren, Jodie (Tommy) Berkbigler, Jill (Nick) Schweiss, Ian Eichhorn and Cameron Eichhorn; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Siebert and Shirley Gill; and a baby brother.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 Gray Ave., Chaffee, MO 63740.
