ST. LOUIS -- Ruby E. Lowder, 83, formerly of Blodgett and Diehlstadt, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996, at the Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 30, 1912, at Blodgett, daughter of William F. and Catherine Huey Lowder.
For more than 20 years, Lowder worked at the Commercial Credit Bureau in St. Louis. She was previously employed as a dietitian at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, Ill. She also was a member of the Corondelet Baptist Church in St. Louis.
Survivors are a brother, John F. Lowder of Cairo; two sisters, Ruth Burd of Lee's Summit and Mary Johnson of Arnold; four nieces; and two nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
