Ruby Imogene Chitty, 88, of Scott City died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 17, 1918, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Wesley and Mable Hager Lynn. She and Carlos Ward Chitty were married April 4, 1936, at Dexter, Mo.
The Chittys owned and operated Carlos' Grocery in Scott City 17 years. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Scott City.
Survivors include her husband; and a sister, Elsie Caldwell of Dutchtown.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
