SIKESTON -- Ruby L. Burton, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born April 16, 1920, at Parkin, Ark., daughter of James and Ellie Edwards. She and Louie Burton were married in 1936 at Helena, Ark. He died Feb. 22, 1952...

SIKESTON -- Ruby L. Burton, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born April 16, 1920, at Parkin, Ark., daughter of James and Ellie Edwards. She and Louie Burton were married in 1936 at Helena, Ark. He died Feb. 22, 1952.

She was a member of the Parker Memorial Pentecostal Church at Sikeston.

Survivors include two sons, John and Alfred Burton, both of Sikeston; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with . Johnny Hester officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
